Full Time – Term Position – 21 Weeks

Job Description: The Content Developer will work with the SMART Community Project Officer for Miramichi River Tourism Association. The primary objective of the MRTA is to support the development and promotion of the tourism industry in the Miramichi Region which covers an area from the Boiestown/ Doaktown area of Central New Brunswick to the Tabusintac/ Escuminac Northeast area including the City of Miramichi.

Duties: The Content Developer will assist with all technology requests regarding SMART boards, the MRTA website, and other technical devices (ex. IPads), along with developing and implements new products and templates.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• To Support existing products and suggest improvements for marketing

• To implement new products and templates

• To develop tutorials and other training materials and methodologies

• To update database and identify potential improvements to content support mechanism

• To support the SMART Learner Certification Program

• Technical Support

Miramichi River Tourism Association is seeking a youth between the ages 15-30; who is currently underemployed or unemployed and not in receipt of EI benefits. This person must be a post graduate not currently in school.

This dynamic individual will be responsible to lead our technology program and create new product content to promote authentic tourism through the use of youth creativity and technology.

Skills:

• Background in education, technology and tourism

• Communication skills (written and oral)

• Familiar with Microsoft office products, SMART Technologies, Mac and Apple Products

• Bilingual is an asset but not essential

• Strategic Creative Thinker

• Ability to empower without influence
