The Friends of the Kouchibouguacis is a non-profit watershed group operating in northern Kent County, New Brunswick, not far from Miramichi. We work on a variety of projects including aquatic habitat stewardship, monitoring, restoration, ecological education and outreach.
From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20th, 2019, come out to the New Brunswick Community College – Miramichi Campus, located at 80 University Avenue, for the Miramichi Career and Volunteer Fair. Volunteer Miramichi in partnership with The Chatham and Newcastle Public Libraries are hosting this event. This event is free and open to the public. The Annual – 21st Joint Fundraising Dinner for the Northumberland Salmon Protection Association and Miramichi Salmon Association will be held on Thursday evening, March 28th, at Rodd Miramichi.

The Historic Chatham Business District reveled its welcome banners for the New Brunswick Special Olympics Winter Games athletes. The banners were positively received by the membership of the Historic Chatham Business District in attendance at the Annual General Meeting held on Monday, February 11th, 2019. The New Brunswick Special Olympics Winter Games will be hosted in Miramichi – February 21st to 24th, 2019.
On Saturday, February 16th, 2019, come one and all to the Rural Community of Upper Miramichi, just a little over an hours drive from the City of Miramichi, and less than an hour drive from the City of Fredericton to the Rural Community of Upper Miramichi Winter Family Fun Day Event. In the event of a storm, it will be rescheduled to the following day, Sunday, February 17th, 2019.
