Blackville Firemen’s Club Annual Splashdown

The Blackville Firemen’s Club will host their annual fundraising canoe run “Splashdown” on Saturday, July 20th, 2019 from the mouth of the Cains River to the Blackville Municipal Park. Registration and poker hands ($10 per hand and includes a burger and pop) will begin at 11 AM prior to the run at the mouth of Cains. There will be a bbq at the halfway point. Burgers and hot dogs will be available to purchase. Come on out, enjoy the river and support the Blackville Firemen’s Club.

Cradle to Career Miramichi Preventing Summer Learning Loss in Students

Last year Miramichi was the first city in New Brunswick to launch a city-wide campaign to reduce summer learning loss. This year Cradle to Career Miramichi is further enhancing their efforts and they are working with Frontier College to offer free summer camps for children who are struggling with reading.
