On Thursday evening, March 28th, 2019, beginning at 6:30 pm, come out to the North and South Esk Regional High School Cafeteria, located at 40 Northwest Road in Sunny Corner, New Brunswick for a Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction. It is in support of the North and South Esk Regional High School We School and Rotary Interact.
Tickets for the spaghetti dinner are only $7. per person and tickets are available from any North and South Esk Regional High School We School and Rotary Interact Students.

On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, beginning at 7:00 pm, the Annual Meeting of the Tabusintac Community Centre Inc. will be taking place at the Tabusintac Community Centre Inc., 66 Hierlihy Road, in Tabusintac. The board is made up of 12 directors with representatives from the local service, recreation council and home and school. New board members are needed and welcomed. Please attend!

On Wednesday evening, February 6th, 2019, during one of their meetings, the Newcastle Lion’s Club recognized members with awards and pins for contribution of years of service to their club.Among those present were Zone Chairman, John Colborne, a member of the Douglastown Lion’s Club.

Since the charter of the club in 1943, members of the Rotary Club of Newcastle have dedicated time and effort to fundraising and volunteer activities in support of community projects and international endeavors – this past year was no exception!

The Rotary Club of Newcastle was pleased to present the Miramichi Curling Club with $5400 to enable the purchase of one complete set of “little rocks” for their children’s program. These special curling stones are designed to be 20 pounds instead of the normal 40, despite being the same physical size as the adult version. The youth program at the club has increased dramatically to 35 participants in recent years, with local teams coming away with both first and second place at last year’s provincials.

The Barryville Golden Age Club Dart League will be hosting a Fundraising Blind Draw Mixed Darts Tournament on Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 at the Barryville Golden Age Club, 1850 Route 11 Highway, Barryville, New Brunswick. The Registration will be from 10:30 am to 11:45 am and the Tournament Starts: at 12:00 pm noon. Admission is $15.00 per player.

On Monday, February 11th, 2019, beginning at 6:30 pm, come out to the Piping Plover Gastropub (formerly Bistro 140), located at 295 Pleasant Street in Newcastle (Miramichi West) for the WOMEN (Women of Miramichi Entrepreneurial Network) Annual General Meeting.

The newspaper Le Monde has published its annual list of destinations not to be missed in 2019, and New Brunswick is in first place. Since 2016, the French newspaper has drawn up an annual list of the 20 destinations to discover during the year by interviewing professionals and travel experts.

Family Literacy Day is Sunday, January 27th, 2019, but on Saturday, January 26th, 2019, come out to the ARM Book Nook and Boutique, located above Autism Resources Miramichi Inc. at 1 Allan Street in Douglastown (former T & R Sports). Together, the ARM Book Nook and Boutique and in partnership with the Miramichi Literacy Council will be having a Donor Appreciation Day and Family Literacy Day from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

On Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, join New Hope Miramichi for their March Family Breakfast and Bake Sale Fundraiser. It will be taking place at the Miramichi Valley Bible Camp and Conference Centre, located at 104 Enclosure Park Road, in Derby Junction, New Brunswick.

NB Masonic Charities & Housing Co. Ltd, has wrapped-up their province wide fundraising raffle, selling tickets on a WESTJET Gift of Flight. The successful ticket holder is Lori Webb of Sussex, who also received a cheque for $1,000.
