On Wednesday, December 19th, 2018, The Rotary Club of Newcastle was pleased to announce the inductions of three new members into their club during their weekly Wednesday meeting. The newest members are: Catherine Flett, Tara Racette and Karen Howe. Congratulations!
Michelle Siddall and Rodney Greenwood of The Boulevard Pub announced they will be under new management beginning in the New Year, under the direction of Joey MacMillan and Samantha MacDonald.
GoChi is a new local community transportation co-operative with a mission to provide efficient, affordable transportation and connections to residents living within Northumberland County. GoChi’s purpose is to provide accessible transportation to people who need it within Northumberland County. As the service evolves, some of the services provided by GoChi may include: – ride-sharing, – ride-home program, community transportation connections by working with other transportation groups within and out of Northumberland County.
The idea to build a Corn Maze in Nelson (Miramichi) was planted in my head close to a decade ago. I had seen a maze online and was fascinated by the idea. However, the seed laid dormant as my wife and me – like many other Miramichi’ers- moved away from home in pursuit of employment. We had moved a lot over the years, and we finally settled – we thought- in Fort McMurray, Alberta in 2014.

Founded in 2008, Miramichi Adult Learning is a non-profit organization funded by the New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labor.Their main goal is still the same, to promote the importance of education and provide services that meet the needs of learners within the greater Miramichi region.
