Annual Harvest Home Supper

The Annual Harvest Home Supper at the Saint Stephen’s United Church, located at 7970 Route 117 Highway in Black River Bridge, New Brunswick will be held on Labour Day, Monday, September 3rd, 2018. Tickets will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm and Meal will be served from 12:00 pm noon to 5:30 pm.

The Annual Saint Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church Picnic, hosted by the Men’s Group of the Saint Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church in the former Village of Douglastown will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018, with a rain date set for Sunday, September 2nd, 2018.

Tours All Day

With August drawing to a close, the Friends of Beaubears Island will be hosting their annual Tours All Day event, consisting of a full day of historical tours, every hour on the hour – Saturday August 25th at 10 am, 11 am, 12pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm. Cost for admission is just $10. Watch history unfold before you on this unique adventure on Beaubears Island.

The Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick – Region 7 Miramichi Chapter would like to invite  anyone 19+ to their 1st Annual Karaoke Fundraiser in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association on Friday evening, August 31st, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Riverside Entertainment Center, 2546 King George Highway, in Douglastown.

Whooper Spring Players Hosting PEI Kitchen Party

The Whooper Spring Players are hosting a PEI Kitchen Party on Saturday, August 25 at Saint Andrew’s United Church Centre in Blackville beginning at 7:00pm. Perry Batten and his friend Kevin from Prince Edward Island are both great singers/musicians and are looking forward to returning to our village to do a show. They were here about 5 years ago for a fun evening and express the desire to return to see all the folks again. Due to the short time-frame, there will be no meal offered. Cost of tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door on the evening of the performance.

Miramichi Hosts First Annual Theatre Festival – MRC Festival

The first annual MRC Theatre Festival held its opening ceremony Monday evening, August 13th, 2018, at the Vogue Theatre in Chatham. The ceremony consisted of art displays, musical performances, and speakers. Co-Founded by Naomi McGowan and Samuel Crowell, the MRC festival is that of art, collaboration and theatre, in memory of the late Lloyd Cameron, a drama director who greatly impacted his community.
