The 99.3 The River Summer Deck Series kicks off for the 2019 season on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019. The event is hosted by John O’Shea, and for 8 straight weeks, they will be featuring local and East Coast Country/Roots artists on the deck of 99.3 The River, located at 396 Pleasant Street in Miramichi (Newcastle).
Tickets for each event are only $5 and all you need to bring is your lawn chair. In the event of rain, the Summer Deck Series will be moved to the Club 10 – Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10, located at 20 Fountain Head Lane, above the Goodie Shop Restaurant.
The 3rd Annual Gospel Concert at the Saint James and Saint John United Church will be on Saturday evening, June 22nd, beginning at 7 pm. Featuring a variety of performers. Tickets are $10.

The Miramichi River Community (MRC) Theatre Festival has begun planning its second year and has put out a call for writers to submit their works. These pieces can be scripts, short stories, poems, and can be in any genre. Scripts will be either performed as full productions or read by actors in script readings, short stories will either be read or adapted into short plays, and poetry will either be read or used as audio in physical theatre pieces. The deadline to submit pieces is July 1, 2019.
