The Natoaganeg “Eel Ground” 1st Nation Annual Powwow is held on the 3rd weekend of July each year. This is our community’s cultural, spiritual and social event of the year. It is our time to showcase the drumming, dancing and regalia of the First Nation people. It is a perfect opportunity to experience First Nation Culture.

Read MoreNBGS Miramichi’s mandate is to promote the collection, preservation and accessibility of genealogical and heritage records through projects pertaining to genealogy and heritage. We do this by promoting education of members and the general public in the Miramichi area. The group meets eight times a year on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:15 pm at the Chatham Public Library. Meetings are not held in June, July, August or December. Members of the public are welcome to attend any meeting.
