Local Colour: Paintings of Life in New Brunswick by Anne Maloney Assaff
An Art Exhibit and Open House featuring the paintings of local artist Anne Maloney Assaff will be held at the Chatham Public Library beginning Feb. 15.
A reverence for the landscape and the wildlife that inhabits it is at the heart of Anne Maloney Assaff’s paintings. Growing up in the Gatineau area of Quebec and later in Barnaby River, New Brunswick, she developed a love for the outdoors that was stoked by family outings. Inspired by these experiences and the way of life in the Picture Province, she captures the ever-changing face of nature through each season in acrylics.
She was employed as a graphic artist for many years and now focuses on fine art, commissions and providing art instruction. She has paintings in corporate collections in New Brunswick and has built a loyal following among private collectors.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Open House on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Chatham Public Library Conference Room. The exhibit will run until March 28.
