Celebrating Christmas with the Miramichi Hope Café
Every Friday, year-round from 12pm noon to 1pm the Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church Hall, located at 214 Pleasant Street is home to the Miramichi Hope Café.
They provide hot meals to the community and everyone is welcome to attend.
On Friday, December 20th, 2019, they hosted their Christmas Dinner and it was filled to capacity. A lovely hot turkey dinner with all the trimmings was served and dessert was Carrot Cake and Apple Crisp.
A lovely welcoming prayer and scripture was conducted by The Reverend Thomas Nesbitt, of the Anglican Parish of Newcastle – Nelson and Hardwicke and The Reverend Captain Deacon Rose Steeves.
An appearance was made by Santa Claus and His Worship, Mayor Adam Lordon of the City of Miramichi who distributed gifts.
A donation from the Rotary Club of Chatham was made to the Hope Café as well on that day.
All left on that day with a warm memory of true fellowship the spirit of Christmas in their hearts.
New volunteers are always welcome, as well as donations to the Miramichi Hope Café.
A receipt from the Anglican Church will be issued. Direct your donations to Ms. Anne Hebert, the coordinator.
Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church Hall is located at 214 Pleasant Street next to the Beaubear Credit Union and 95.9 SUN FM.
Parking is available at the rear of the hall.
