30th Anniversary of Central NB Self Help Group in Doaktown
The Central NB Self Help Group in Doaktown is celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary this year of helping people!
From 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 17th, 2019, come out to Doaktown’s Community Park to celebrate this special occasion for this group!
There will be music provided by the Miramichi Fiddlers and many more local talent.
Barbecued hot dogs and soda will be for sale and there will be anniversary cake will be served.
Some seating available or bring your own chair.
Please remember that we will also be accepting non-perishable items.

What is the Central NB Self Help Group?
Since 1989, the Central NB Self Help Group in Doaktown is a clothing bank and food bank, located at 7-A Miramichi Street.
They serve people from McGivney to Upper Blackville with no age restrictions.
They are open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
The present coordinator is Bonnie Veno.
When you visit a food bank, you will be asked for information about your income, your address and your expenditures. It is important to bring the following:
– Identification for all family members
– Proof of your current address
This information is asked the first time you visit the food bank.
You will not be required to bring it at each visit but we recommend that you bring a piece of identification each time.
