BHS Ice Centre Makerfaire, Market and MakerSpace Opening
On Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019, from 1 pm to 5 pm, come out to the Blackville High School, located at 12 MacLaggan Drive, in Blackville to the BHS (Blackville High School) Ice Centre Markerfaire, Market and MakerSpace Opening.
The BHS ICE Centre allows students to become innovators and young entrepreneurs.
Project based learning is the focus of the MakerSpace with students collaborating on their learning experiences.
Morning MakerFaire will be open to students and invited guests.
Pitch Den will be open to invited guests.
Afternoon Market will be open to students, invited guests and the community.
After school MakerSpace will be open to students, invited guests and the community.
Schedule of Events
1:00 pm to 2:30 pm – Young Entrepreneurs and BHS ICE Market [Cafeteria]
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – MakerSpace Grand Opening and Market [MakerSpace and Mr. R. Lehnert’s Classroom]
During the Grand Opening they will have coffee/tea with snacks provided by our Culinary Technology Students.
Many thanks to Blackville Foodland for donating a cake and Miramichi Pita Pit for donating snacks too!
As well, they will be doing some prize draws from our supporters.
