About the Go for 42! Mango Kids Fun Run:
This initiative is targeted towards students from kindergarten to grade 8. In this challenge, the goal is for the students to run or walk 42 km over the last five weeks of school. Each classroom receives a poster for students to keep track of their kilometres. For each 5 km the student completes, they receive a colourful shoe tag.
Students from all 23 schools are then invited to take part in the “Mango Kids Fun Run” to complete the final 2.2 km together as a group. The run starts at 11 am at the Linden Rec Centre on Sunday June 25th.
Students can pre-register with their school or on the day of the event but it is important for each participant to confirm their presence on the day of the run event if they pre-registered with their school. Each student participating in the “Mango Kids Fun Run” will get a Mango t-shirt and a medal. Parents are welcome to run with their children and strollers are permitted.
