Rotary RibFest 2016 Success
Large crowds turned out over the weekend to enjoy the tastes, smells, sounds and lots of other fun at the annual Rotary RibFest on the waterfront in downtown Newcastle. With plenty of live local entertainment, vendors, washer toss and Foosball tournaments, and of course some very tasty ribs, the weekend long festival offered a little something for everyone in the whole family. Rotary RibFest kicked off on Friday May 27th and wrapped up Sunday May 29th.
Crabby’s BBQ Shack won all three awards – best ribs, best chicken, and best experience!
Team Service Master with Devin Donovan, Nick Mann, Justin Campbell, Justin Cortes, Bobby Williston, and Brian Doyle won the competitive human foosball tournament.
In the Washer toss tournament Scott DeWolfe and Dustin Pond of Fredericton won the $1000 first prize. Amanda Taylor and Cristian Estrella of Black River Bridge placed second and won $500. Coming in third were Rene Savoie and Drake Lambert of Burnt Church who won $250.
