Ironmen Sweep Islanders

The Miecon Ironmen swept the Charlottetown Islanders 2-1 and 3-2 in a doubleheader on a very wet Saturday night. Jamie Walls had 14 strikeouts in game one and Jimmy Russell drove home Darren Hardy with the winning run in game 2. Kevin Bowes took the win. Ironmen improve to 16-10 on the season.
Next home game is Thursday August 5th against Moncton at Ironmen Field. The wall ceremony will be held preceding the game.
