Campfire Stories at Bicentennial Park Sunday
Old Man Matheson, Old Man McCarthy, and Rusty Pete welcome you to lovely Bicentennial Park in Nelson Miramichi this Sunday at 7 pm to partake in some music, tall tales, and bologna over a fire.
Miramichi’s long and illustrious heritage has been celebrated in song and story for generations and the folk tales and lyrical ballads of her past have left a lasting impression on locals and visitors alike. In celebration of these odes to our collective past, every year the staff at the Beaubears Island Interpretive Centre showcase their talents at this special instalment of the weekly Symphony at Sunset.
The night will be filled with merriment and talk of days gone by. Hear some yarns from Nelson’s storied past, enjoy traditional folk songs, as well as more modern songs brought to you by the energetic staff. Guests are welcome to share their own stories around the fire as well. Our visitors are also encouraged to participate in our 50/50 draw in support of the Beaubears Island Summer Student Program, which makes these events possible. This is certainly a night you don’t want to miss out on, so join the Friends of Beaubears, bring your lawn chair and your stories and sit out under the stars.
Campfire, stories, song, and bologna! What’s not to like? Be sure to join us on Sunday August 9th at 7 and take part in the fun!
Giv’er Miramichi is about “What’s up, what’s new, what’s happening”. We are focused on building people up, supporting one another and celebrating our successes.
