Rock ‘n Roll Festival Kicks Off
The 21st annual Rock ‘n Roll Festival returned to the river last night, kicking off with the famous street dance and fireworks. The festival got under way in the Downtown Newcastle Waterfront Parking Lot with the Official Opening Ceremonies and Street Dance beginning at 7 pm. Music for the Street Dance was provided by Tim Irving of Millbank Music and prizes were awarded for best costumes. Everyone had a rocking good time!
At 10:30 pm the sky roared to life with an awesome fireworks display presented by the Rock ‘n Roll Festival and Gold Line Transport. Following the show, everyone enjoyed some rocking tunes from Raglan Road under the big tent.
The Rock ‘n Roll Festival continues all weekend with lots of fun activities for the whole family. To view the full schedule, visit their website. We hope to see you on the Mighty Miramichi this weekend for a rocking good time!
