Irish Pride Fills Chatham Streets
The city turned green as celebrations for Canada’s Irish Festival on the Miramichi kicked off on Thursday July 16th and wrapped up yesterday, Sunday July 19th.
The festival offered something for all ages with a golf tournament, free afternoon outdoor entertainment, children’s activities, genealogy, a musical theatre production, vendors, lots of live Irish music, and much more.
On Saturday morning the streets in Chatham were lined on both sides as proud Irish families displayed their coat of arms and marched from James M. Hill High School to Waterford Green in the annual Walking Parade.
