Royals Defeat Ironmen 6-1
The Fredericton Royals used a 3 run first inning to defeat the Miecon Ironmen 6-1 on Thursday. Jeff McCarthy continued his hot hitting for the Ironmen with 2 singles while Kris Keating, with a double, and Nick Hardy had the only other Ironmen hits. Darren Hardy drove in the Ironmen run with a sac fly.
JF Neveu suffered his first loss of the year despite striking out 9 batters and only giving up 2 earned runs in 6 innings.
Ironmen travel to Fredericton tonight to complete the home and home.
