June Update
Hello, its time for another council update! I hope everyone is enjoying the nicer weather we are getting finally.
The Bass Tournament was well recieved and from the feedback we are getting it will be bigger and better next year. There will be a lot of construction on the Miramichi this summer so i am asking everyone to be a little patient and try not to get to upset if traffic slows down in areas.
Up this weekend is the Gathering 2 at the Eco-Centre(curling club) so if you want to see the old pictures be sure to check this out! Take a walk down memory lane.
The Payroll Center is now under construction along with the new Middle School beside Croft Elementary. Funding for Gretna Green Elementary have been annouced. Work on Miramichi Bridge will be done before the end of the month pending no problems.
Our Great City of Miramichi is slowly coming back to life as we always do with the great help and hard work of our citizens. Thank you!
I hope everyone enjoyed our 1st Rib-Fest sponsored by the Rotary Club of Newcastle. The music was great and the Sunday morning service sponsored by the Point was very well recieved and the even brought out some sunshine. Also the ribs were awesome as I tasted two different styles!
The Chatham Library is selling tickets on a Harry Potter quilt…2 dollars or 3 for 5. Help support this project by stopping and seeing the newly renovated Library.
Went on a tour of Beaubear`s Island last week and thuroughly enjoyed and i recommend everyone experiencing this venture.
Finally some great news the Tall Ships are coming in July 2017 bigger and better then ever.
