Ironmen Split With Alpines
The Miecon Ironmen split their doubleheader with the Saint John Alpines, losing 4-3 in extra innings in Game 1 and winning 7-1 in Game 2.
The Ironmen were held to 4 hits in the opener with Orry Cook, Kris Keating, Ryan Barry and Darren Hardy getting the hits with Hardy’s being an RBI double.. Jeff McCarthy also had an RBI. Kevin Bowes pitched a complete game.
In Game 2 Cook, Keating and Robert Gallant had 2 hits with Gallant and Kris Mckay scoring two runs.
JF Neveu had a complete game victory, his 4th win of the year, allowing 3 hits and striking out 12.
Ironmen are in Moncton today.
