Lots of Entertainment Upcoming at Miramichi Folklore Park
The Miramichi Folklore Park recently presented the Ladies Of The River, so … just to keep things fair, they’re now going to present the Men Of The Woods!
This event happens on Sunday, April 12th at the Miramichi Folklore Park in Renous from 2 to 5 pm. There will be lots of singers and musicians present and there will be good food available. This week’s menu will include Hamburger Soup, Clam Chowder, Butterhorn Rolls and Brown Bread – all home-made, of course, along with tea or coffee. They have rearranged things so there will be a place to eat in the hall or in the lobby. So bring your appetite, your ears and your tapping foot!
On Sunday, April 19th, the Folklore Park presents “Music Heroes – Come Meet The Stars” featuring local musicians doing their best to imitate their favourite stars. Hank Williams, Hank Jr. and Hank III will be on hand as well as Loretta Lynn, Neil Young, Minnie Pearl, Lefty Frizzell, Linda Perry of 4 Non-Blondes, Rita McNeil, Ned Landry, Miranda Lambert, Stompin’ Tom Connors, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and a few other surprises. This one is going to be lots of fun! There will be food available at this event also.
Admission for both of these shows will be just $6.
The Miramichi Folklore Park is located at 46 Memory Lane, just off Route 8 in Renous, NB, and is the home of The Heritage Players theatre group.
The Heritage Players are pleased to announce the 17th stage production of “The Legend Of The Dungarvon Whooper” at the United Church Hall on Main Street in Blackville on Tuesday, May 26th, beginning at noon. This may seem like an odd time, but they have been asked to perform at lunch time to accommodate two bus tours coming in courtesy of Noble Bus Tours from Fredericton and Nancy’s Bus Tours from Sussex. This will be a Dinner Theatre with a delicious cold plate and home-made pies for dessert. There will be about 40 to 50 tickets available at $25 each and can be purchased by calling Bernie at (506)625-3544.
