Miramichier Appointed President & CEO of NB Liquor

Brian Harriman is the new president and chief executive officer of NB Liquor, effective February 1st.
“This is a historic appointment, and we are proud to be the government that has introduced an open and transparent recruitment process to the selection of this important role at NB Liquor,” said Premier David Alward.
The appointment is a result of the first public recruiting process for the position in the history of NB Liquor. The 2011 NB Liquor Report to Cabinet recommended that a public hiring process be used to select the president and chief executive officer.
“We are pleased that this hiring process brought forward an excellent candidate who understands the liquor industry and will surely be an asset to the corporation,” said Ron Lindala, board chair at NB Liquor. “I look forward to working with Mr. Harriman to strengthen NB Liquor for the benefit of the shareholders, staff and customers.”
Harriman is originally from Miramichi and has more than 13 years experience in the retail liquor industry, most recently with Diageo Canada and Molson Coors Canada. He is familiar to many in the industry and has an impressive record of accomplishments with a number of major suppliers.
