Blackville to Vote New Mayor
Residents of the village of Blackville will head to the polls later this month to vote in a by-election for the mayoralty. Former mayor Glen Hollowood and resident Andrew Hawkes are in the running to become Blackville’s next mayor.
The village has been served by interim mayor Matt Sturgeon since May, when Hal Muck stepped down as mayor for personal reasons. Sturgeon was already a sitting village councillor.
During the week of October 14, voter information cards giving the times and locations for advance polls and Election Day voting will go out in the mail.
Nominations for the by-election in Blackville closed Friday at 2pm.
