Remembrance Day in Miramichi
On November 11, remember those men and women who served and sacrificed to protect the freedom that we graciously enjoy today.
Miramichi and surrounding communities will host several Remembrance Day ceremonies to honour those who have supported Canada’s war efforts.
The following is a list of services in the area:
Blackville – Service starts at 11:00am in the Blackville School gymnasium. Public is asked to arrive by 10:45am. Lunch for veterans at Father AA McKinnon Hall following the service.
Chatham – Service begins at 10:55am at James M. Hill school. Afternoon entertainment will be provided at the Branch #3 Legion beginning at 1:30pm.
Doaktown – Service begins at 11:00am at the Branch#23 Legion. Public should be seated by 10:30am.
Neguac – Mass service starts at 11:00am at Saint-Bernard Church with a dinner to follow at 12:30pm at the Branch #61 Legion. Members and non-members welcome.
Newcastle – Service starts at 10:35am at the Miramichi Civic Centre. Public are asked to be seated by 10:30am.
Rogersville – Parade begins at 9:30am, followed by Mass at 10:00am at Eglise Du Plein Evangile.
Sunny Corner – Parade begins at 1:45pm at the North and South Esk Regional High School.
Tabusintac – Opening ceremonies begin at 10:45am at the Royal Canadian Legion.
Upper Miramichi Rural Community – Parade begins at 10:30am with service at 11:00am at the Branch #78 Legion in Boiestown.
