Peace Begins with Me



        Remembrance Dinner Theatre & Song ‐ Nov. 10

            “Peace Begins with Me” is the theme of this year’s
        Remembrance Dinner Theatre & Song, held at the Kin
        Centre on Sunday, November 10, beginning at 5pm. This
        year marks the 76th anniversary of the UN Peacekeepers.
        Featured will be Canadian Peacekeepers, the Miramichi
        Chapter, in particular. Sixteen of its members will be present
        and honoured that night.
            For 76 years, United Nations peacekeepers have worked
        to save and change lives in the world’s most fragile political
        and security situations. Since 1948, more than two million
        uniformed and civilian personnel have helped countries to
        transition from war to peace. The UN Peacekeeping Forces
        received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1988.
