Wilson’s Point Historic Site






            At the point where two rivers converge lies Wilson’s  you with stories of the tumultuous history and happenings of

                                                                   The Scottish Heritage Association have restored the
                                                               original grave sites and walking trails, installed a wharf,
                                                               trading post and built an interpretive center. Enjoy a walk
                                                               along our restored scenic trails with views of the Mighty
                                                               Miramichi River. Pack a picnic and eat under the pines like
                                                               our settlers once did 250 years ago.
                                                                   Drop in to the replica of the original church that once
                                                               stood on the grounds from 1791-1832.  Cast a line in our
                                                               shiny waters to catch a striped bass or salmon or trace your
                                                               roots as you meander through our historic graveyard.
                                                                   The Interpretive Centre is located in the beautiful little
                                                               church which is naturally air conditioned and has perfect
                                                               acoustics to host musical events.

                                                               2024 Events and Dates
                                                               The Interpretive Centre is open daily 9:30am - 4:30pm,
                                                               June 17 to Oct 19. Admission is free.

                                                               The Wednesday Workshop series continues this summer,
                                                               with new crafts and instructors. Some to look forward to are
                                                               broom making, wet felting and Scottish inspired Christmas
                                                               ornaments.

                                                               Davidson Makes a Point: Sundays 2-4pm, July & Aug and
                                                               1-4pm Sept & Oct.

                                                               Piper at the Point: Sundays 2-4pm, July to Aug

                                                               Sunday Scone Socials: July 14 and September 15
                                                               Immerse yourself in all things Scottish and enjoy scones with
                                                               fruit topping & cream and a beverage for $10/person. Learn
                                                               how to wear a traditional kilt! William Wallace will be on site.

                                                               Graveyard Walks: July 27 (8pm), Oct 18 (7pm)

                                                               Old Fashioned Family Picnic:  Aug 17 (12pm-4pm)
                                                               Music, food, tours, fun for the kids, vendors, and new this
                                                               year - Halimac Axe Throwing.

                                                               Lots of family fun, including the scavenger hunt and market.
