Members painted outdoors at Wilsons Point during the
Miramichi Scottish Festival Old Fashioned Family Picinic
on August 17. This was followed by a successful planning
session for the organization on August 24th at Terry and
Wendy Matthews’ homestead in Whitney.
Members of the group also completed a pilot project
with a local mental health group, and this led to securing
funding for a permanent Art Health Therapy Program. Other
partnership opportunities are also being explored. We also
continue our long-standing collaboration with the Bathurst
Arts Society.
Upcoming Fall and Winter Events
The fall and winter are shaping up to be busy on the
Miramichi artistic front as well. The group will be
participating in the Wilsons Point Fall Fair on Saturday,
October 12th with a range of art works for sale.
A workshop on both hard and soft pastels will be given President Gerard Godin, Mayor Adam Lordon, and Past President
