Boating in Miramichi
About 70 km inland from the Gulf of St. Lawrence, in
the city of Miramichi, there are two marinas. Station Wharf
Marina sits on the east side of the river in the Historic
Chatham Business District and the Miramichi Boating and
Yacht Club sits on the west side in Douglastown. Both
marinas monitor Channel 68 on Marine Radio and are
surrounded by restaurants, fuel stations and shopping within
walking distance.
The Miramichi Boating and Yacht Club is a 60 berth
marina located at 9 Marina Drive, Douglastown. It is open
May through October. Overnight berth fees start at $30 and
ramp launch fees are $15 plus tax. They offer showers,
accessable bathrooms, laundry facilities, fuel and sewage
pump-out. Contact this marina at 506-773-9949 or visit

$15 (all plus tax). Contact this marina at 506-778-9198.
The Rodd Miramichi River located next to Station
Wharf offers a place to dock and a beautiful deck
overlooking the river, for your dining or drinking pleasure.
Further upriver in Newcastle you can dock at Ritchie
Wharf which offers dining, a playground for children,
outdoor entertainment, shopping, and ice cream and
Miramichi River Boat Tours. Along the river you’ll find
docks at Middle Island Irish Historic Park, Gordon’s Wharf,
Beaubears Island, Nelson Tourism Centre and Wilson's Point.
The Miramichi River measures about 250 km in length
and is comprised of two branches, the Southwest Miramichi
River and the Northwest Miramichi River, each having their
Douglastown Marina
respective tributaries.
