Tabusintac
In the southwestern Gulf of St. Lawrence about 50 km northeast of the
City of Miramichi, lies the small community of Tabusintac. Sand dunes,
nature trails, beaches, bird watching, golfing - just a few of the many things
to discover in Tabusintac.
Dock your boat at MacEachern's Wharf or the Tabusintac Marina and
head towards the gulf where a line of beautiful sandy beaches or islands offer
a private place to cool off on a hot summer day. Between the beaches and the
mainland there is a lagoon and near its middle you find the broad mouth of
the Tabusintac River.
Travelling up the river you see the many coves and creeks along its
banks. The meandering river is perfect for dipping your boat, canoe or kayak
or relaxing while casting a line to catch salmon or trout on one of the cleanest
rivers in New Brunswick. Tourist Information Centre
Bird watching enthusiasts and hikers alike will enjoy wandering around 506-779-9280
the walking trails with a bird sanctuary that encompasses the entire lower
stretch of the river.
