        Miramichi Folksong Festival

        by Melanie Ross, Director
        Miramichi Folksong Festival

Come one, come all to Canada's Longest Running Folk
Festival, the Miramichi Folksong Festival, celebrating songs
and culture of the Miramichi, and the very best in hospitality.
We have something for everyone, from our opening on
Thursday, August 1st with the Downeast Entertainers, to our
New Brunswick Day Breakfast featuring Moncton's Dahlia
        Ave.
We feature local and New Brunswick musicians and
singers, including this year's featured guest David Myles and
the Miramichi Songwriters who include Jason Barry,
Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and Terry Whalen, ECMA
nominee. Mike Bravener, who has been singing our
Miramichi Songs will be having a CD release on Friday night
of the festival, August 2nd. Dahlia Ave.
French culture will be well represented by Roger
Lanteigne as well as Beau, and our returning and now
upcoming Indigenous favourites, the Hello Crows.
Come to our Very Best Pub Night with Ian and Roy and
Rob Currie and the Corner Boys, or to our Miramichi
Fiddlers and Friends Kitchen Party. At the center and heart
of the festival is the celebration of Miramichi and New
Brunswick folk music and culture, and Louise Manny and
Lord Beaverbrook’s vision of celebrating our songs, and our
        way of life.
Please join us for music and fun on the Mighty
Miramichi, August 1-5th at the Miramichi Folksong Festival!
