Duck Race - August 27

And they’re off! The ducks will be taking to the
river again in large numbers on Sunday, August 27 as
Camp Sheldrake hosts the Great Duck Race in
conjunction with major sponsors Maurie’s Ice Cream
and 99.3 The River.
This year’s event will feature a free barbeque at the
race site, Bicentennial Park on St. Patrick’s Drive in
Nelson, starting at 12:30 pm. Then at 1:30pm the duck
race begins!
Thanks to strong support from Miramichi area
businesses there will be 10 prizes with the first duck to
cross the finish line earning the winner $3000!
Duck tickets sales began April 1 and volunteers will
be at various locations and events throughout the
community until all tickets are sold. All proceeds from
this event go to support the programs at Camp Got your duck yet?
