Doaktown
Nestled in the valley of the Upper Southwest
Miramichi River, Doaktown is a village known for its quiet
friendliness and easy going lifestyle. Off the beaten
tourist track, come to Doaktown to slow down your pace
and experience our way of life. Stay awhile and mingle
with the locals at our many church suppers, craft sales,
dances, fishing retreats, parades, fairs, exhibits, fiddling
jamborees, community fundraisers, karaoke, and numerous
other events and celebrations.
We invite you to come sit by our campfires, learn our
songs and listen to our stories. Who knows, you may end
up at a genuine kitchen party, learning how to step dance.
Outfitters offer day-trips or overnight packages for Artisans Market on Main Street
fishing, canoeing, tubing, kayaking and touring around
the river. Bring the whole family and enrol the kids in a day camp
to learn water safety or how to tie flies for fishing. Events
