Jakob Jardine, a 11 year old boy from Warwick Settlement, has returned from the War Amps 2018 Atlantic Child Amputee (CHAMP) Seminar in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The seminar brought together young amputees from across the Atlantic provinces while also marking the 100th Anniversary of The War Amps.

What better way to spend it than to check out the Ocean Spray Cranberry Bog near Rogersville and the Little Big Bear Safari in Acadieville, outside of Rogersville. Laney and Alecia were recently to both locations of which they’d never seen up close before! It was another great experience exploring Miramichi’s surrounding areas and all that they have to offer!

From 4 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, July 29th, 2018, come and bring a family member or a friend out to The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 306 Water Street in Chatham Head / Miramichi to a Cold Plate Fundraiser in support of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. The Menu will be consisting of Ham, Turkey, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Dessert and a Beverage. Admission is $12. a person – eat in or take out and tickets are pre-sold in advance.

On July 21, Parks Canada honours their National Parks and Historic Sites across the country and Beaubears Island plans to spread the cheer all around Miramichi River as they celebrate by reviving the Island’s storied past with “A Day in the Times of Beaubears Island”. In a series of tours, at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm, the Island will look to its famous past, as staff and volunteers alike take on the mantle of historic personages great and small.
