Miramichi to Host 2019 Special Olympics NB Provincial Games
We are fortunate that the City of Miramichi will be hosting the Special Olympics NB Provincial Games from February 21 – February 24, 2019. A committee has been put in place to organize the events and the official launch was held on February 22, 2018 at the Miramichi Kin Center. Chief Paul Fiander Chair of the local organizing committee and Gale Waye, the President of the Miramichi Special Olympic Chapter and Vice Chair gave us an update on this great event.
Joining Chief Fiander and Gale were two of our Miramichi athletes, John Godin and Donna MacDougald. The Newcastle Rotary members wish John and Donna and all of our local athletes the best of luck next year and are all looking forward to the event!
