On Saturday, February 16th, 2019, come one and all to the Rural Community of Upper Miramichi, just a little over an hours drive from the City of Miramichi, and less than an hour drive from the City of Fredericton to the Rural Community of Upper Miramichi Winter Family Fun Day Event. In the event of a storm, it will be rescheduled to the following day, Sunday, February 17th, 2019.
The Miramichi Cursillo Weekend for Men is happening May 16th to May 19th, 2019 in Miramichi. It’s a three day weekend where participants share a profound experience of Christian Life. The application dates have been announced for the regular Crown reserve angling. Anglers will be able to apply between February 4th and March 1st, 2019 to fish regular Crown reserve waters.
On Monday, January 28th, 2019, Maritime NHL’ers for Kids and Stanley Cup winner Brad Marchand introduced a NEW program as part of the Event’s 20th Anniversary celebrations. The program will help young boys and girls in the Maritimes get on the ice. “Marchy’s Maritime Kids” will see Brad donate $100 for every goal he scores this season. The donation will be made directly to Jumpstart, the official charity of Maritime NHL’ers for Kids.
With 10 days until the New Brunswick Special Olympic Winter Games in Miramichi kick off, the Miramichi Chapter of the New Brunswick Special Olympics are pleased to introduce many of it’s athletes in various sports. Our own Mighty Content Coordinator, Anthony McLean is honored, proud and excited to be part of this upcoming event happening right here in the Miramichi from February 21st to 24th. He will be competing in Candle Pin 10 Pin Bowling!! Other sports with these games include Floor Hockey, Curling and Snowshoeing and athletes, coaches and volunteers will grace Miramichi soil from all over New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island!!

The Intergenerational Family Fun Day will be taking place on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at the New Brunswick Community College – Miramichi Campus from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. This event is open to families of Children 0 to 6 years of age, and Grandparents are invited to attend as well. Miramichi Valley High School Drama Club and CM Productions Presents….. “Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple”
From Thursday, February 21st, 2019 to Saturday, February 24th, 2019, come out to the Miramichi Valley High School, located at 345 McKenna Avenue in Newcastle to their drama club’s presentation of “Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple” Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased at the door.
On Monday, February 11th, 2019, come out to the Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, located at 360 Newcastle Boulevard in Newcastle (Miramichi West) for a Valentine Card Party Fundraiser for the Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Religious Education Programs. The doors open at 6:30 pm, with the games beginning at 7:00 pm, and will consist of the following games: Auction 45’s, Cribbage and Bridge. Donations of prizes and food for a light lunch would be greatly appreciated. Prizes can be dropped off in the boxes in place at the church entrances or to the Parish Religious Education office (located in the basement of Saint Mary’s) and donations of food can be dropped off to the hall after 1 pm on Monday, February 11th, 2019. Everyone is welcome and we thank you for supporting the Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Religious Education Programs.
