The 4th Annual Butterfly Release Event for the Hospice Miramichi Inc. will be taking place on Sunday, July 21st, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Hospice Miramichi Inc., 14 Howard Street, directly behind the Saint Michael’s the Archangel Basilica Roman Catholic Church in Chatham. Registration is at 11:30 a.m. and the release is at 12:30 p.m. noon. Tax receipts will not be issued for the Butterfly Purchases. All the proceeds are going to the Day Programs of the Hospice Miramichi Inc. You can pre-order your butterfly for just $20. until Thursday, June 20th, 2019.

May is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019, from 10am to 12pm noon, come out to the Queen Elizabeth Park in the Town Square in Newcastle (Miramichi West) for the Miramichi Sexual Assault Awareness Month Walk. It will be happening rain or shine! Join the Miramichi Emergency Centre for Women for this event! Bring some noise, bring awareness and there will be signs provided! Also! The Miramichi Striper Cup is a “catch and release” bass fishing tournament that attracts over 2,000 participants to the banks of the Miramichi River each year. Mr. Jeff Wilson and The City of Miramichi invite all fishing enthusiasts to Atlantic Canada’s Premier Bass Fishing Experience!

This year marks a change in venue for the Relay with all activities taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Park/Town Square and Kin Centre locations. The event will run from 5:00PM – 11:00 PM.
