Timberwolves Make Trade
Yesterday the MHL announced that the Miramichi Timberwolves had dealt defenseman Bailey Webster and Evan Millman to the Summerside Western Capitals in exchange for forward Zach Beaton, defenseman Tucker White and future considerations.
Webster and Millman are both entering their 17 year old seasons and hail from Kensington and Alberton, PEI respectively. As well, they both patrolled the blueline for the NB/PEI Midget AAA Kensington Wild last year. In 31 regular season games, Webster scored five goals and added 20 assists. Meanwhile, Millman, the younger brother of former Caps forward Blake Millman, scored twice and added four assists to go with 86 penalty minutes in 32 regular season contests. In addition to his time in midget, Webster also appeared in seven contests with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL, registering three points, all assists.
Beaton, a native of Stratford, PEI, is entering his 19 year old season. He has spent parts of the past two seasons in the QMJHL with Cape Breton and Charlottetown. Last season he scored twice and added an assist to go with 84 penalty minutes in 45 regular season contests with the Islanders. As well, Beaton played 29 regular season games with Summerside in 2012-13, scoring twice and adding three assists. White hails from Holden, Massachusetts. In 41 games with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL, White posted 2 assists and 41 penalty minutes. Traded to the Acadie-Bathust Titan last week, he is still currently in the Titan’s training camp.
