Miramichi Movie Montage Night at Beaubears Island
This Wednesday, August 6th, plan to spend your evening at the Beaubears Island Interpretive Centre. The annual Miramichi Movie Montage night will feature old video footage of Nelson and its citizens starting at 7 pm.
Admission is a freewill offering and refreshments will be available for purchase.
As the sun goes down over Beaubears Island, join friends and neighbours inside the Interpretive Centre to watch this montage of videos. It will certainly be an evening filled with nostalgia, and among the faces on the big screen you might very well see your own.
As an added attraction, the Friends of Beaubears Island will premiere the Miramichi River Tourism Association’s (MRTA) produced mini-movie “Tours Through Time.” This ten-minute feature, shot by enterprising filmmaker and Nelson resident Andrew King, looks at what goes into the operation at Beaubears Island, and how a handful of performers make history come alive on a yearly basis.
