MHL Three Stars of the Week
Once again the Miramichi Timberwolves have a player selected to the MHL’s Three Stars of the Week. Third star for the week goes to Miramichi Timberwolves goaltender Alex Collette. The 18 year old from Dieppe picked up two wins in as many tries as Miramichi also swept their slate of games this week. On Thursday night in New Glasgow, Collette made 31 saves and earned third star honors as the Timberwolves defeated the Pictou County Weeks Crushers 5-4. On Saturday night at home, Collette was on top of his game once again, making 22 saves as Miramichi defeated the Summerside Western Capitals 5-1. Collette, a product of the Moncton Flyers midget AAA program, now sports an impressive 6-1 record on the season with a 3.32 GAA and .895 save percentage in his first MHL season. So far the Timberwolves have had at least one star selection in each week except the first.
The first star of the week goes to Dieppe Commandos forward Shane Dallaire, and the second star of the week is Amherst Ramblers defenseman Cam MacDonald.
