Third Annual Bicycle Ride for Tree of Hope
The 3rd Annual Bicycle Ride for the Tree of Hope in Miramichi will take place Saturday, September 14th.. The cyclists will ride 32 km around Beaverbrook-Bellefond.
Participants of the first editions have loved their experience, says Daniel Levesque, Community Development Director at the Centre Scolaire Communautaire Carrefour Beausoleil. “While the challenge to complete the 32 km was a motivation for some people, others have done it in tribute to the fallen and survivors of cancer in their family. Some were survivors themselves.”
A minimum of $100 is accepted, although any other amount will be appreciated. Those interested in participating, can give their name, phone number, and email address at the Carrefour Beausoleil reception desk or register by phone at 627-4125. Income tax receipts available.
The ride starts at 10 am at Carrefour Beausoleil and the return is expected shortly after noon. A healthy snack is on the menu. In case of rain, the activity will take place on Sunday, September the 15th.
Organizers are also looking for some volunteers for the cyclists’ security.
For any information please call: Daniel Levesque at (506)627-4221 or email .
