Seniors Gather For Annual Christmas Dinner
Together, the Newcastle (013718) Lion’s Club and Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi hosted a Annual Christmas Dinner for Seniors 65 years and over of the Miramichi and surrounding areas at the Newcastle (013718) Lion’s Club on Sunday, December 15th, 2019.
For the past twenty eight years, the Newcastle (013718) Lion’s Club and Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi have been hosting this dinner as a way of giving back to the community and surrounding areas and spreading christmas cheer!
Between both seatings, there were a over 500 people in attendance.
One seating was at 1:00 pm and the other at 3:00 pm.
The meal consisted of a piping hot Stuffed Chicken Breast, Mashed Potatoes, Peas, Carrots, Gravy, Homemade Rolls, Cranberry Sauce, Tea or Coffee, Water and the dessert was Strawberry Shortcake topped with Whipped Crème, prepared by members of the Newcastle (013718) Lion’s Club and served by members of the Kinsmen Club of the Miramichi and Newcastle (013718) Lion’s Club.
Admission was a donation to the Miramichi Community Food Bank.
