24th Annual Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival  June 28th – July 1st, 2018.

This years festival will be celebrating 24 years with some great entertainment all weekend long. Including Raglan Road 4.0 on Friday, June 29th and Big Bad Party Band on Saturday, June 30th.

This four-day Rock ‘N’ Roll festival takes place in Miramichi, New Brunswick and includes such events as the Golden Oldie Car Show, concerts, street dance, fireworks and much more. Get your poodle skirts and leather jackets ready because we’re gonna rock this summer!

Footloose the Musical (not Mamma Mia as was previously printed)

RiverMade Productions and the Miramichi Rock and Roll festival presents another smashing summer musical.

Kick off your Sunday shoes and cut loose as the explosive rock ‘n’ roll musical sensation Footloose the Musical  bursts on to the James M. Hill Theatre stage from June 29th- July 2nd, 2018. Based on the 1980s hit film that took the world by storm, Footloose the musical sizzles with the same spirit of youth, rebellion and romance. City boy Ren thinks his life is over when he is forced to move to Bomont, a small rural town, but things are far worse than he could have ever imagined, as the town bans dancing. It isn’t long before Ren can’t resist breaking the rules, and he’s not alone. Grab your tickets at Jean Coutu (Chatham and Newcastle) and the Goodie Shop for $20 each before they are gone. Cut loose with Footloose the Musical.

THURSDAY JUNE 28

5:30 – 6:30pm:  Special Appearance by Paw Patrol “Skye & Chase”

7:00pm – Opening Ceremonies & Street Dance
The official opening of the festival. Music by Millbank Music. Bring a lawn chair.
Location: Waterfront Parking Lot, Newcastle.

8:00pm – Fireworks party zone in Tent. Free Admission, adult dance, music by DJ Planet Zee

10:00pm – Celebration of Lights on the River

10:30pm – Rock N Roll Festival Fireworks

FRIDAY JUNE 29

12:00pm – 4:00pm – Live Entertainment and Children’s Activities
Location: Queen Elizabeth Park

6:00pm – Car Owners Meet & Greet
Location:  Under the tent

9:30pm – 1:30am – Adult Dance featuring “Raglan Road 4.0”
Gates open at 8:30pm

SATURDAY JUNE 30

9:00am – Sidewalk Sale around the Square

9:00am – Show Off Your Baby
Take a walk around the Town Square as the owners of these antique beauties show off their babies. Security will be on site.

12:00pm – 4:00pm – Live Entertainment and Children’s Activities
Location: Queen Elizabeth Park

1:00pm – 2:00pm & 3:00pm – 4:00 pm – Pictures with Skye and Chase

2:30pm – 5:00pm – Entertainment in the tent

5:00pm – Cruise Around The River
Take a step back in time and watch the parade of nostalgic antiques cruise around the river. The parade will make its way down the North side of the beautiful Miramichi River, across the Centennial Bridge and up the South side of the River. Parade starts and ends at the Goodie Shop Restaurant.

9:30pm – 1:30am – Adult Dance featuring Big Bad Party Band

SUNDAY JULY 1

10:00am – 11:30 am – Rock of Ages – Church Service
Come out to see Rock of Ages, an eclectic group of Christian rockers of all ages. They love high energy, high impact music that pleases audiences wherever they go. They want to give praise to God with their signature sound. They will also appeal to participants with an engaging and emotional drama, interpretive dance and spell-bounding message. Prepare to be ROCKED! Don’t miss this opportunity.

11:00am:  Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10 Flag Raising

1:00pm – 5:00pm – Golden Oldie Car Show
A spectacular display of classic cars.
Location: Waterfront Parking Lot, Newcastle.

1:00pm – 4:00pm – Kids Fun Day
An afternoon filled with fun and games for young and old.
