Experience the Local Farmers Markets
by Rebeka Frazer-Chiasson
Farmers markets are the best way to get a real taste, smell and feel of a community. Immerse yourself in the food culture of our region by joining us for breakfast, lunch, or to gather the goods for your camping trip, family reunion, or bbq at home.
There’s no better place to have conversations, build relationship and witness the spirit of a place, than at the market. Allowing food to be our common denominator means that we can share stories, recipes, and memories while eating delicious meals or getting the ingredients to cook and nurture ourselves and our families. As a visitor to the region, your greatest impact on the community is how and where you buy and you can be sure that when you spend your money at the market, farmers, cooks and crafters as well as their families and communities will directly benefit.
Hop on your bike, grab the bus or take the car to discover what a difference fresh can make. You’ll get to ask all kinds of questions and discover new vegetables, faces, growing methods and cooking techniques.
