Miramichi River Valley Tourism (MRVT)has been encouraging uniform signage in our communities for the past year. Boiestown was the first to put up their sign, that proudly states “Boiestown, Gateway to the Miramichi River Valley”, followed by Doaktown with “Doaktown, Heart of the Miramichi River Valley”, and this month the Village of Blackville has put their sign in place.
In case you can’t see it clearly it says: “Blackville, Salmon Fishing Capital of the Miramichi”. How’s that for a bold statement!
