Sing Out! Free Workshop for Miramichi Seniors
The Atlantic Institute on Aging in partnership with artsnb present “SING OUT! A workshop for Miramichi Seniors” on Saturday November 7th, 2015 from 11 am to 4 pm. The workshop is FREE but pre-registration is required.

How can voicework impact the health and well-being of seniors? This question will be explored in a unique workshop facilitated by Elizabeth and Glenn Copeland of KPH Theatre Productions. No previous singing experience is required! This workshop is ideal for people who are aging and may struggle to control breath, voice volume, etc. Theatre and voice techniques give you a whole new set of tools to work with!

Elizabeth Copeland has sung on stages across Canada and into the US with appearances at the Charlottetown Festival, the National Arts Centre (Ottawa) and the Women’s Leadership Forum (Calgary). Her workshop, “Reclaim Your Voice”, has helped thousands of people re-discover the power of their voice. Glenn Copeland is a renowned Canadian singer/ songwriter with an international fan base for his music.

The workshop runs on Saturday November 7th from 11 am to 4 pm at the Wesleyan Church, 52 Nelson Street, in Miramichi. Bring a percussion instrument if you have one. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. And prepare to have fun!

“Glenn and I are sooo excited about this workshop!” Elizabeth wrote on the Facebook Event Page. “The folks at the Atlantic Institute for Aging want to ‘study’ the corelation between singing and health for seniors. Of course, I know from anecdotal evidence that it does! Come and help us prove the point! I have faciltiated similar workshops throughout Canada and the US for decades. People always leave with a smile on their face!”

There is no cost for this workshop, but pre-registration is required! To register, email Elizabeth at .
