Around the River this Weekend August 27th – 30th
It looks like a mix of mostly sun and cloud as we head into this weekend, with the same kind of temperatures we’ve been seeing all week. Probably a good weekend to hit up some Yard Sales and we have about a half dozen listed in this week’s Yard Sale Report. If you are having a Yard Sale or a Craft or Bake Sale, you can add it to the list FREE of charge!
There doesn’t seem to be too much happening this weekend, which means it’s either the calm before the Labour Day long weekend storm of activity or people need to take the time to add their events to our Mighty Miramichi Events Calendar so we can help promote them. Listings are always FREE!
The big events happening in the city this weekend are the Day of 8, Figure 8 Demolition Derby at Speedway Miramichi in Douglastown on Saturday and the Remembering Elvis concert with Thane Dunn at Carrefour Beausoleil in Newcastle Saturday night. Outside of the city limits many people are already flocking to Rogersville for the annual Bluegrass Festival that starts tomorrow and runs through the weekend. Upriver, the Upper Miramichi Lions Club are holding an Auction and Moose Calling Contest on Saturday afternoon with lots of great prizes to be won.
For a complete list of upcoming events visit the full Events Calendar. If you have an event coming up, you can list it for free at Mighty Miramichi.
