About One Of Our Newest Members of the Rotary Club of Newcastle… Karen Howe
Karen Howe was born in Miramichi and lived in Nelson.
She has been married for 32 years to her husband Doug and has two children Adam and Rebecca.
With past experiences as a cafeteria supervisor at both Miramichi Valley High School and Gretna Green School, Karen at the age of 32 decided to travel to Moncton, New Brunswick to obtain her degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
Karen then worked in Halifax, Nova Scotia for a few years at both Marid Industries and RKO Industries but decided to become self employed in her home of Miramichi to be closer to her family.
It was at that time at a Rotary Christmas party that she met her now employer Francis Malley of Des-Tek Inc.
Karen became a member of the Newcastle Rotary this year and has already been involved in many of the club’s fundraisers and activities.
Welcome Karen Howe to the Rotary Club of Newcastle!
