Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation welcomes recent donations
The community has been doing their part to support the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation in recent days. Local farmer Ralph Lockerbie and son-in-law Joe McIssac donated part of the proceeds from the sale of pumpkins at Lockerbie Farms, and Branch #10 of the Miramichi Legion made a donation of funds raised during their annual poppy campaign.
Lockerbie Farms donated $733.60 and the Miramichi Legion donated $1000.00. These donations come as part of the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation’s goal to raise money for four new pieces of hospital equipment as part of their “Because Your Health Matters” campaign. They have currently raised $13,500 toward their $88,000 goal.
The Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation strives to enhance the quality of local health care by raising funds for equipment, building maintenance and improvements, professional training, and patient care. To learn more about the Foundation call 627-7555.
