Rock ‘n Roll Festival Starts Thursday!

Get ready to dance the weekend away! The Miramichi Rock ‘n Roll Festival celebrates 20 years starting this Thursday, July 4th, 2013.
This year the Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival proudly presents Happy Days, a new musical!
Goodbye grey skies, hello blue! Happy days are here again with Richie, Potsie, Ralph Malph and the unforgettable “king of cool” Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzarelli. Based on the hit Paramount Pictures television series, Happy Days, A New Musical reintroduces one of America’s best loved families, the Cunninghams — yes, Howard, Marion and Joanie are here too — to a whole new generation of kids and parents.
The famed drive-in malt shop and number one hangout, Arnold’s, is in danger of demolition. So the gang teams up to save it with a dance contest and a TV-worthy wrestling match. Even Pinky Tuscadero, Fonzie’s childhood sweetheart, returns to help and — lo and behold! — they rekindle their old flame. Return to the days of 1959 Milwaukee complete with varsity sweaters, hula hoops and jukebox sock-hoppin’ fun. This perfectly family friendly musical will have you rockin’ and rollin’ all week long! If you like Grease you will love Happy Days.

The official opening of the 20th Anniversary of the festival. Miramichi’s favourite “Ti-Blanc” is back to get the festival off to a rockin’ start. Bring a lawn chair.

Pick up and drop off ballots at Vogue Optical. Locate the cars on the list and you could win $200.

One night, one time, one place only! Just for our 20th Anniversary. This night is made for great memories, great music and dancing the night away. (19 years of age and over). Doors open at 8 pm.

Join your kids and neighbours in the 6th Annual Miramichi Soap Box event. Five different age classes.

Come see how fast your car can go in the 1/4 mile. Free of charge.

5 pm: Golden Oldie Cruise Around The River
A favourite for the vehicle owners and spectators. Watch the faces of the seniors from Mount St. Joseph and the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home as the cars and trucks from their generation drive by. Parade starts and ends at the Goodie Shop Restaurant.
7 pm: Happy Days, a new musical
